Residentials, Trips & Tours
During their years at SHS, boys enjoy an exceptional programme of outings, residentials and tours that bring learning to life and build independence.
Regular day trips are planned throughout the year to deepen understanding across a wide range of curriculum areas. Boys also take part in subject days and Prep School Competitions hosted by other schools, including academic challenges such as quizzes and problem-solving events.
In Year 4, they experience their first taste of adventure with a short residential during Expedition Week. From Year 5 onwards, every boy takes part in a full week residential at the end of the academic year, with pupils in Years 7 and 8 travelling to France for their annual Expedition Week adventure.
In addition to these core experiences, boys can choose to join a number of optional residentials, including the much-loved annual ski trip and sports tours to destinations such as St Lucia and South Africa.
